Hello again, its me, and here is my next Fallout comp, which is all about the unique rifles found throughout the Mojave.
now before anyone whines and says 'But Bonnie, such and such isn't a rifle, its actually a sniper machine love cannon', let it be known, i couldn't give less of a ****, i'm using the term rifles cuz its easier than putting all the words in the title
First up is This Machine, a rifle to end the commie plague. Modeled off of the well known M1 Garand, this machine is chambered with .308 rounds, which is weird since only US Navy M1s used .308 rounds, and last time i checked, the desert isn't part of the Navy. Aesthetically, This machine is almost exactly the same as its normal version (the Battle Rifle (GRA)), except it has the words 'well, this machine kills commies'. Found in Camp McCarren, This Machine boasts superior damage, critical rate and durability than the battle rifle. The best thing about the weapon though is that it goes DING when it reloads
Next up is La Longue Carabine (LLC), a veteran rifle used by a veteran sniper. LLC is a unique and heavily modified cowboy repeater, with modifications such as a long sniper scope, and is reloaded through the front of the magazine tube, instead of the loading gate. Besides the obvious scope, the rifle is generally cleaner than its counterpart, and boasts increased damage, tighter spread, larger ammo capacity and higher durability. To get the rifle, one must loot it off its owner in Camp McCarren (not that i'm heartless enough to kill the elderly)
Next on the list is the single greatest weapon in the game, Abilene Kids LE BB gun. Abilene Kid is unsurprisingly a unique BB gun, and is only slightly different to the regular BB gun, as the only major difference is the words 'Abilene Kid, Limited edition, 1 of 200' written on the stock of the gun. Much like its non Unique variant, Abilene Kid does a whopping 4 damage (which would take 3 shots to kill a bloatfly), but the reason it is useful is unlike its counterpart, Abilene Kid does 70 critical damage, and coupled with its silent firing, makes it the perfect weapon for sneaky beekis. Abilene kid is either found in Fields shack, or Jimmy's well (its the latter if the player has wild wasteland)
Up now is All American, the gun for true patriots looking to protect their wasteland. All American is a unique Marksmen carbine, and apart from its catchy name, it is wholly uninteresting. It comes with woodland camouflage (so you can hide in the dense woods), and the 82nd airborne insignia on the side. what it has over its non-unique version, All American has a larger clip, a longer range scope, increased damage and increased accuracy. All American is found deep in the bowls of hell (or in the armory of vault 34 if you don't want to be dramatic)
When those pesky rats get too much, the smart Courier goes for Ratslayer. Ratslayer is a Unique Varmint rifle, and unlike that, Ratslayer is actually useful. Coming a long list of benefits, including a long range night-scope, increased clip size, increased damage, a silencer, weighs less, one of the tightest spreads of any rifle, and a devastating critical chance modifier. All of those and more make Ratslayer a beast of a sniper rifle, and its already proved itself, as one can see its already killed 69 (ha) rats already, if you count up the tally marks. Ratslayer is found in a laboratory in broc flower cave, and is surrounded by giant rats, just itching to be slayed
Fallout New Vegas Unique Sniper Rifles
Last on the list, is the Wholly boring and plain Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle. The Gobi is a unique sniper rifle, and much like the name implies, its very good at sniping enemies from afar. The Gobi boasts a slight damage increase, faster firing, a slightly larger clip size, is more durable, is lighter and has a much higher critical damage. Gobi also is equipped with a much more useful desert camouflage, which allows the player to remain hidden long enough to rack up enough kills to call in that kill-streak. The Gobi is found in the snipers nest (wow, a sniper in a snipers nest?), locked inside a very hard footlocker.
